This is also a special year for Galbraith’s Dominic Wedderburn - who heads up the agency team in Cupar - as he marks 30 years of involvement with the club; initially joining as a player in 1995. After retiring from playing, he went on to coach in the minis section and has remained part of the club ever since. Through Galbraith he has been able to support the club through sponsorship since 2021, furthering the firm’s commitment to grassroots sport and local community.
Galbraith is passionate about supporting sports clubs and initiatives that are important to the communities they serve. Through the Howe of Fife partnership Galbraith can engage with the Cupar community and assist in the development of the club’s players and members. Dominic is at the heart of this, with a foot in both camps driving the shared goals of both parties.

To mark both the sponsorship renewal and three decades of Dom being involved at the club, Katie Peoples sat down with both Dominic and the Howe of Fife’s Club Chairman Chris Reekie.
Chris commented on the importance of the relationship between Galbraith and the Howe to not only the current players but also new recruits:
“Galbraith having the profile of a national company adds positive value, with strong connections locally. Their association with rugby being aligned to Edinburgh and other geographical areas creates an immediate strong identity for players and supporters.
“Sponsorship allows the club to cover some of the related costs identifiable with senior rugby, without which the overheads of running the club would be greater, potentially impacting higher subscriptions, possibly denying some a route into playing rugby.
“Howe’s intention has always been to develop an inclusive community rugby club. To support and improve the game of rugby in the local area, develop the opportunity to encourage and enthuse future generations. To participate in all sport and their community”.
When reflecting upon his time playing and coaching for the club over the last 30 years, Dominic echoed this point from his perspective:
“I joined the Howe after university with no prior connection to the club, but I loved it from the start.
“The camaraderie, the training, the friendships, it gave me a real sense of community… Rugby reflects values of teamwork and belonging, and for young people today, it offers the chance to be part of something bigger than themselves.
“The club has grown in many ways since my playing days, both the players abilities, size and the facilities. Being able to sit in the seats and see the Galbraith logo on the kit is a great feeling, especially when they have a good win. The company being able to sponsor a club that has been a huge part of my life is really a wonderful thing”.
Galbraith wishes the Howe of Fife the best of luck in the forthcoming campaign and will be by their side every step of the way cheering on at Duffus Park.
