  1. Next Generation Take The Hammer For May Bull Sales

    - 25 April 2018

United Auctions is putting an experienced team of rising star auctioneers at the helm of the Galbraith Stirling Bull Sales next month.

In a nod to 2018 being the Year of Young People, a trio of next generation auctioneers - Ross Fotheringham (27), Raymond Kennedy (27) and Murray Rainnie (30) – will between them lead the sales of 283 pedigree bulls and females at the May event.

  2. The Growing Popularity Of Selling Scottish Estates Privately

    - 18 April 2018

In a market of reducing supply, where only 16 estates, totalling some 70,000 acres sold for a combined £68 million in 2017 compared to 23 totalling 100,000 acres selling for over £80 million in 2016, there was an 8% increase in the number of private estate deals in 2017 compared to 2016.

According to Anna Henderson of the Premium Property Buying department at Galbraith, this reflects the changing shape and mood of both the market and sellers, with an increasing number of estates now being sold off-market.
