  1. The Growing Popularity Of Selling Scottish Estates Privately

    - 18 April 2018

In a market of reducing supply, where only 16 estates, totalling some 70,000 acres sold for a combined £68 million in 2017 compared to 23 totalling 100,000 acres selling for over £80 million in 2016, there was an 8% increase in the number of private estate deals in 2017 compared to 2016.

According to Anna Henderson of the Premium Property Buying department at Galbraith, this reflects the changing shape and mood of both the market and sellers, with an increasing number of estates now being sold off-market.

  2. Bats In Buildings - An Ever-Increasing Problem

    - 13 April 2018

Most people are resigned to the fact that building works can be delayed by setbacks in the construction process or bad weather, however very few people expect their property renovation to be delayed due to bats.

Scotland is home to nine species of bats and all have European protection.
