CKD Galbraith Launches Galashiels Sales Department

CKD Galbraith is delighted to announce the launch of their Galashiels sales department to handle the high levels of interest and demand from commuters looking for property following the reopening of the Borders railway line.

The reopening of the Borders railway has undeniably made Scotland's capital city more accessible for commuters and increased buyer interest in the towns and villages, such as Galashiels, close to the new line's stations.

CKD Galbraith has ensured that it remains buyers and seller's first choice in the region by appointing an experienced agent with excellent local knowledge and understanding of the Borders market to launch the new sales department in their Galashiels office.

Newly appointed estate agent Polly Cregan joins CKD Galbraith with over a decade of experience working in sales and the property sector. Having lived and worked in Southern Ireland for some time, Polly is now returning to the Scottish Borders where she grew up and first started her career in property with the chartered surveyors Edwin Thompson & Co.

Polly went on to hold several successful roles in property sales at Knight Frank in Edinburgh and later a property search company based in Berwickshire. Commenting on her recent appointment at CKD Galbraith, Polly said:

"It's fantastic to be back home and be joining CKD Galbraith at such a busy and exciting time. It's something of a full circle for me to be back to where my career first began in Galashiels! The Borders railway has made the region an even more desirable residential location where property remains affordable for families and young professionals so I look forward to putting my local knowledge and skills to work straight away."

Alex Inglis, head of residential sales at the firm's Kelso office who will be working closely with the Galashiels office, added:

"We are delighted to be expanding our offering in the Borders by launching a dedicated residential sales department in Galashiels with Polly Cregan at the helm. Her expertise is a very timely addition as we expect the re-opening of the Borders Railway to lead to an increase in market activity. The weeks immediately following the re-opening resulted in increased viewings and subsequent offers and we expect this momentum to continue to build and for our sales figures for the final quarter to reflect this trend."

Polly will work in close collaboration with CKD Galbraith's already well established sales teams in Kelso and Edinburgh to ensure that buyers and sellers in the Borders receive the highest level of service and advice.
