07909 978 642As our networks face growing demand, utility providers, renewable-energy project developers and landowners are often come together to balance the needs of the network and of the landowner’s enterprise.
Our experienced and dynamic team provides scenario and client-specific advice for cables and towers, underground cables, pipelines, telecommunication masts and the grant of third-party access rights.
We advise developers and landowners on utility schemes from start to finish. From land referencing, negotiating and agreeing options, leases, exclusivity agreements and heads of terms, to preparing records of condition and negotiating appropriate consideration and compensation, our team is well placed to assist both landowners and developers with utility and renewable scheme approaches.
We have been or are currently advising clients in relation to the Moray East offshore wind project, the duelling of the A9 and A96, the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route, the Beauly to Denny overhead powerline replacement, Scottish Water sewerage and water main projects, Scottish Power localised overhead line upgrades, the Earlsferry to Pittenweem Cycle Path, Network Rail access agreements, and the Guardbridge to St Andrews University biomass pipeline project, as well as grid connection negotiations for various electricity storage, wind and solar projects. We provide advice for obtaining or granting third-party access rights, whether wayleaves, servitudes or access agreements.
