Martin has been with the firm for almost three years, and displays a wealth of experience having been operating in the industry for nearly 20 years.

Whilst at CKD Galbraith, Martin has been involved in a wide variety of commercial and rural projects including the new 14M Stirling Agricultural Centre, Orbital House in East Kilbride and various projects for Cadogan Estates.

Martin Cassels said: "I am delighted to be joining the partnership at CKD Galbraith, allowing me to continue to grow the building surveying team.  It is a tough economic climate but we have seen a marked change in the size and type of instructions with our team active in the refurbishment sector as well as with professional work such as dilapidations.  More recently, acquisitions are increasing and consequently our building surveying expertise in due diligence is in demand.

"Within the rural sector, all of our teams continue to be very active with a wide variety of premium quality rural and residential instructions together with increasing amounts of involvement within the agricultural sector."

James Galbraith, Chairman of CKD Galbraith said: "Martin becoming a partner is another exciting development for our building surveying team, which was strengthened last year with the appointment in Edinburgh of experienced professional Peter Scott Aiton. Having a dedicated team of established and professional building surveyors allows us to cover all aspects of this highly competitive sector."
