Aaron joined Galbraith in 2013 and is based in our Castle Douglas office. Aaron can assist with all aspects of sales and is a member of the National Association of Estate Agents.
Ailsa joined Galbraith in 2018, having graduated from Edinburgh University with a First Class Honours Degree in Law. She qualified as a Chartered Rural Surveyor in October 2020 and works out of our Edinburgh office, undertaking a variety of estate management, valuation and professional work.
Alan joined Land Factor in 1981 which merged with Galbraith in 2019. He works as a Land Agent within our Hexham Office. He manages Rural Estates throughout the North East of England.
Alexander joined Galbraith in January 2021 as a Graduate Rural Property and Finance Agent, based in the Stirling Office. He graduated from the Royal Agricultural University in July 2018 with a Bsc (Hons) in Applied Farm Management, then went on to work for a large arable farm for 2 years, based in Lincolnshire. Now currently undertaking a master’s degree in Rural Surveying and Rural Property Management at the University of Aberdeen as well as working towards achieving his APC.
Alex joined Galbraith in 2021 with over 24 years of experience working in sales and lettings in Edinburgh. Alex now specialises in Edinburgh residential sales, market appraisals and private purchases.
Based in our Ayr Office, Alice works throughout south west Scotland predominantly undertaking valuations and estate management work. As well as being an AMC Agent, she also carries out a wide range of professional rural consultancy to include farm sales and utility claims.
Alison joined Galbraith in 2018 as Senior Property Manager in the Commercial Management team. Based in our Edinburgh office Alison has 15 years’ experience in property and asset management dealing with all aspects of commercial property management in both public and private sectors. Alison manages a wide range of portfolios for clients across the UK which include retail, office and industrial properties.
Alistair undertakes rural valuations and AMC Agency through our Stirling office. Having been brought up on a dairy and sheep farm in Central Scotland, he has a sound knowledge of agriculture and business. Alistair has specialised in sporting estate management as well as agriculture throughout his career.
Alistair joined Galbraith in August 2021 as a Graduate Rural Surveyor, having gained a RICS accredited First Class Honours Degree in Rural Business Management at Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) Edinburgh. He is based in the Stirling Office as part of our Rural Department, involved in a wide range of valuations, Farm and residential sales while working towards his APC.
Amy joined Galbraith in early 2018 as a Sales Negotiator for our Aberdeen office. With several years’ varied experience in estate agency, Amy is a key member of staff specialising in the sales of rural and residential property. Amy is a qualified member of the National Association of Estate Agents.
Andrew joined Galbraith in October 2020 as a Graduate Rural Surveyor based in our Perth office. Andrew attended SRUC in Edinburgh, where he achieved an HND in Rural Resource Management. Andrew went on to Study Rural Enterprise and Land Management (BSC Hons) at Harper Adams University. During that time he did a year’s placement working for the rural property team at Buccleuch Estates. Since joining Galbraith, he's been involved in property and farm valuations, farm consultancy and estate management.
Andrew, chairman of Galbraith comes from a rural business background and is former chairman of accountancy firm Johnston Carmichael.
Anna has recently graduated from Harper Adams University with a degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management and will start her role as a Graduate Rural Surveyor in the Stirling office in August. She will be working towards achieving her APC and will be involved in estate management, valuation and compensation work.
Ashleigh joined Galbraith in August 2021 and is qualified with the highest industry qualification delivered by the ARLA Property mark. She deals with legal preparation, property management, rent arrears and the release of tenant deposits.
Athole is a former director of Land Factor which he joined in 1986. Following the merger with Galbraith in 2019 Athole is a Partner, Chartered Forester and Head of Forestry for the firm based in our Edinburgh and Penrith Offices. Working throughout Northern England and Scotland, he carries out forestry and rural land management as well as purchase and sales of woodland and forest properties, valuations, carbon, natural capital and forestry project co-ordination. He also has interests in renewables and minerals.
Ben joined Galbraith in 2019 as an Associate in the Commercial Agency Team. He has over 10 years’ worth of experience the UK commercial market and has worked with a range of institutional and private clients across Scotland and the UK. Ben specialises in both occupier and landlord acquisitions and disposals on both a leasehold and heritable basis. Ben has a strong track record advising on commercial development in multiple sectors, across the country.
Callum joined Galbraith in May 2019 after graduating from SRUC Aberdeen and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2021. Callum is involved in estate management, utilities and telecoms, as well as carrying out a range of valuation and professional consultancy work.
Calum joined Galbraith in 2020 and is based in the Rural department in our Perth office. He joined as a Graduate Rural Surveyor after graduating from Aberdeen University where he achieved a First Class Honours in Politics and International Relations followed by a Masters in Land Economy. Calum is involved in estate management, valuation, rural property sales and professional consultancy work.
Calum’s expertise is spread across a number of the firm’s Business Streams. Having previously held responsibility for managing the firm’s Energy Department, he continues to have significant professional involvement in this sector both in terms of specialist valuation and brokerage and as an acknowledged expert providing services in dispute resolution and as an expert witness. In addition, he sits on the specialist RICS group dealing with rating and local taxation and undertakes rating consultancy throughout the country dealing with a diverse range of property subjects. Principally based in our Perth office his department provides a range of agency, consultancy and professional services to private clients in relation to commercial property and development land.
Cameron joined Galbraith in September 2021 as a Graduate Rural Surveyor in our Cupar office, having recently completed a master’s degree in Rural Surveying and Rural Property Management at the University of Aberdeen. He is now working towards achieving his APC and will be involved in estate management as well as energy, utilities, renewables and telecommunications.
Chris is based in our Stirling office and leads the Rural Team in central Scotland. A specialist in urban fringe estates and involved in management and consultancy on several Scottish islands. Chris also has extensive experience in negotiating land deals with developers. These include Option Agreements and Joint Ventures. He runs his own farm in Fife.
Christian undertakes management on Highland Estates with diverse employment, residential property, sporting, renewable energy and diversification footprints. Being a Registered Valuer and fulfilling regular compensation work completes a broad skill set.
Claire has worked in Inverness since 2010, having joined Galbraith as a graduate and qualified as a rural chartered surveyor in 2012. She is a Partner involved in the management of a number of Highland estates as well as carrying out a wide range of valuation and professional consultancy work.
Claire joined the Galbraith Inverness office in October 2020 as a Graduate Rural Surveyor having gained a RICS accredited First Class Honours Degree in Rural Business Management at Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) Edinburgh. She is now working towards achieving her APC and is involved with a wide range of professional and estate management work.
Colin has considerable expertise in a wide range of rural topics including farm and estate management, valuation and agricultural law matters. He is a member of the Rural, Valuation and Dispute Resolution Faculties of the RICS and acts regularly as an expert witness. In addition to an in-depth knowledge of agriculture, Colin has experience and an interest in sporting matters and is involved in the management of agricultural and sporting properties. Colin has qualifications in agriculture, is a rural Chartered Surveyor and one of our AMC agents and valuers.
Crawford is based in the Edinburgh office and provides consultancy, management, agency and valuation advice across the rural and energy sectors. Crawford returned to Galbraith in September 2020 following a spell in London working for a major institutional landowner, where he was responsible for the asset management of their rural and mineral portfolio across the UK.
David leads the residential sales and lettings teams across Scotland and the North of England for Galbraith. His primary responsibility is for sales and valuation work in Dumfries and Galloway, where he has worked since 2010, in a wide range of property types. He manages the Castle Douglas office and carries out Agricultural valuation work for a number of Banks, including the AMC for whom he is an introducer.
Dominic heads up residential sales in Fife and Angus from the Cupar office. Dominic was educated at The High School of Dundee and graduated from St Andrews University in 1995, after which he worked for his family's farming and property business in North East Fife. In 1999 he completed a Masters in Land Economy at Aberdeen University and then specialised in the sale of prime country houses before relocating to southern France to broker the sale of homes to the international market. Dominic returned to Scotland in 2009 to work for Galbraith, initially in Glasgow and more recently to his native town of Cupar.
Based in the Inverness office, Dougal is primarily involved in a wide variety of rural estate management roles, ranging from clients with lowland urban fringe properties to traditional highland sporting estates. In addition Dougal is involved with professional consultancy and valuation instructions in the Highland area. Having previously trained with and worked for Buccleuch Estates for seven years he then joined the firm in 2003 initially dealing with commercial property management.
Dr Eleanor Harris joined us in 2021 and is based in our Edinburgh office. Dr Harris was previously Policy Researcher with Confor for over five years focusing mainly on development of the carbon market in the forestry world and on the wider aspects of Natural Capital. She continues to build on this unsurpassed expertise at Galbraith and will be developing commercial opportunities in relation to Bio-Diversity Net Gain, Peatland and Soil Carbon, Regenerative Agriculture and general environmental land management throughout the UK.
Duncan is based within the National Farm Sales Centre, Stirling covering a wide range of rural property across the country. He also forms part of Rural Management Department and is involved in a variety of management, consultancy, and valuation work. He joined Galbraith in 2006 and qualified as a Member of RICS Rural Faculty in November 2008. A farmer’s son from the Borders, Duncan has strong connections within the farming fraternity.
Edward joined Galbraith in October 2020 as a Graduate Rural Surveyor in the Edinburgh office. He graduated from the University of St Andrews with a bachelor’s degree in Geography and the University of Aberdeen with a master’s degree in Rural Surveying & Rural Property Management. Edward is working towards qualifying as a rural practice chartered surveyor, and is involved in many aspects of estate management, professional work and carbon.
Emma is head of the Agency Department in the Perth Office where she has worked for most of her career and covers Perthshire, Kinross-shire and Angus specialising in sales, purchases and valuations of rural property, country houses, farms and estates.
Etienne joined Galbraith in February 2021 as a Graduate Planner, having previously gained part-time work experience there whilst finishing his degree in Urban Planning and Property Development at Edinburgh’s Heriot-Watt University. He is currently working towards his RTPI APC and assists in a wide range of planning work.
Fergus joined Galbraith in April 2022 as a Graduate Rural Surveyor, based in the Castle Douglas Office. Now currently undertaking a master’s degree in Rural Estate and Land Management at Harper Adams University, whilst working towards achieving his APC.
Fiona is part of the Sales team in our Ayr office and a member of the National Association of Estate Agents. She has always had an interest in the property market, having worked previously in lettings, as well as buying and selling properties after upgrading and renovating them.
Frances first started working in residential Estate Agency in the Scottish Borders in 1992. She has over twenty years experience in all aspects of residential property sales.
Gavin Joined Galbraith in January 2021 and is based in our Edinburgh Office. Before joining the group he played a key role in various facilities and property management projects for NHS Lothian. Gavin undertakes a wide range of commercial, rural and residential building surveying services whilst assisting the management of our key client property portfolios.
Geoff is based in our Cupar office and handles lettings across Fife and Perthshire. He started working in Estate Management in 2006 after completing a Masters in Land Economy at Aberdeen University and has gained a vast amount of experience in rural lettings through the managing of estates across Aberdeenshire.
Georgina joined Galbraith in September 2019 as a Graduate Rural Surveyor in the Edinburgh Office. She currently undertakes a variety of work including management of rural estates in the Scottish Borders and East Lothian, assisting with property sales, natural capital, regenerative agriculture, valuations and ratings appeals. A graduate of The University of Aberdeen Masters of Land Economy program, she has an interest in integrated land management and is working towards her APC.
Hamish runs the Forestry Department in our Perth office providing all aspects of forest management, grant applications and valuations. Hamish started working for Galbraith in Inverness in 1994 and moved to Perth in 2002. Hamish previously spent seven years as the resident forestry manager on Alvie Estate in Speyside.
Hannah heads up the Estate Agency team in our Aberdeen office. She has over seventeen years of experience in of the Aberdeenshire property market. She joined Galbraith in 2015. Hannah is a qualified member of the National Association of Estate Agents.
Harry is a part time consultant with the rural management team in the Scottish Borders and has many years' experience in the sale and valuation of farms, forestry and country property. He has also been involved with our renewable energy team, primarily covering onshore wind farms together with other alternative energy projects.
Harry is involved in a wide range of commercial property including: commercial and development land agency; new build agency; valuations; professional and planning work throughout Scotland. He joined Galbraith having previously worked in commercial property in London and residential agency in Scotland.
Heather joined Galbraith in 2020, having previously worked with the firm as a student. She works as a forestry consultant providing advice on all aspects of woodland management, with a particular emphasis on woodland creation and grant support. Heather has worked as a forester both in the Highlands and North East of Scotland since 2016.
Heather joined the Galbraith Hexham office in November 2019. She is a seasoned estate agent with a passion for selling houses and over 35 years of experience. She is part of our residential sales team specialising in the sale of rural and residential property covering house sales from coast to coast, Cumbria and south from the Scottish Border into North Yorkshire.
Heather recently joined Galbraith as a consultant for Argyll & the Isles. As a local to Argyll and based near Oban, Heather has extensive knowledge of the area. She practised law in England and then set up her own law practice in Scotland and is well versed in processes both sides of the border.
Heather joined the Hexham office in October 2020 as a Graduate Rural Surveyor having gained a RICS accredited MSc in Rural Estate Management at the Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester. She is now working towards her APC and fellowship of CAAV qualifications, whilst also being involved in a wide range of estate management and professional work.
Hilary joined Galbraith in 2022 and has a wide experience of over 15 years in the Aberdeen and Shire property markets. She is focused on making sure clients have a positive experience when they list their property.
Holly started with the Stirling rural team in August 2019 as a graduate rural surveyor, having achieved a degree in Rural Land Management from the Royal Agricultural University. She assists mostly with estate management but also helps with compensation works and valuations. She is currently working towards achieving her APC.
Hugo joined Galbraith in 2019 following our merger with Land Factor and is an Associate based in our Hexham office carrying out estate management and professional work throughout the North East of England. He has been successful in crystallising a wide range of opportunities in development, telecoms, renewable energy and the environment for his clients, and is currently a trustee of Tyne Rivers Trust.
Iain joined Galbraith in September 2021 and is based in our Perth office. Iain joined as a Graduate Rural Surveyor having gained a BSc (Hons) in geography from St Andrews University and then a RICS accredited masters of Land Economy from Aberdeen University. Iain works with our agency and rural teams and is involved in a wide range of residential and rural property sales, valuations and management work.
Iain Russell is based in our Edinburgh office and provides wide-ranging consultancy, management and valuation advice throughout our business. He specialises in advising clients including estates, farms, private companies and individuals on a broad range of strategic issues.
Ian joined as a graduate rural surveyor in the Aberdeen office in 2021. He studied at SRUC Craibstone where he achieved an Honours degree in Rural Business Management. Ian manages and works at his family farm in Aberdeenshire and will be working towards achieving his APC.
Ian is Head of the Galbraith Rural Department which serves a diverse range of clients from major companies to private individuals seeking advice and management of their rural properties. He carries out a range of professional work across the country, providing farm and estate consultancy, regenerative agriculture, valuations and management of contract farming agreements. As well as being an AMC Agent, he also carries out farm and estate sales throughout Scotland.
Isla joined the Stirling office in 2017 after graduating from Scotland's Rural College with an Honours Degree in Rural Business Management. She qualified as a Chartered Rural Surveyor in November 2019. Isla heads up the residential sales and lettings department within Stirling as well as carrying out valuations. She has a keen interest in the farming and rural sectors stemming from being brought up on the family’s beef and sheep farm in West Fife.
Jackie has worked in property sales for the past 19 years. She joined Galbraith in 2009 and is based in our Scottish Borders office hub in Kelso and deals with all aspects of residential agency work.
Jack is based in the Perth office and works in the rural department, holding a RICS accredited Honours Degree in Rural Business Management. Jack is involved with farm business management, agricultural consultancy, farm sales and a wide range of professional work across Scotland. Jack was brought up on a dairy farm outside of Castle Douglas in Dumfries and Galloway.
Jake joined Galbraith in 2019 and is based in our Ayr office. He is a fully qualified chartered surveyor having achieved his membership to RICS in 2018. He specialises in the sales of both rural and residential properties in Ayrshire and the surrounding counties.
James is a Partner in our Rural team based in the Stirling office. Working throughout Central Scotland, he is involved in management, access and compensation, valuation, land use negotiation, as well as carrying out a wide range of professional consultancy work.
James has practiced in Edinburgh for most of his career advising clients on all aspects of rural estate management, residential property and commercial property investment. Specialist areas in which he practices include agricultural holdings law, the valuation of rural property, forestry, inheritance tax planning and portfolio property investment. He is a partner in a family farming business in the Scottish Borders.
James joined Galbraith in 2014 and is a member of the Stirling Building Surveying Team. With 8 years’ experience in both residential and commercial sectors of building surveying, he has worked at GLM and Thomas and Adamson.
James joined Galbraith in June 2016 and is based in our Edinburgh office. He undertakes various commercial and rural projects throughout Scotland as well as a full range of professional building surveying services.
Jamie joined Galbraith in 2017 and is a partner in the Commercial Investment Team. He has an in depth knowledge of the UK commercial property investment market and has been involved in numerous significant transactions throughout his career. He has a strong track record as a multi-sector advisor, dealing with individual assets and portfolios throughout the UK.
Jemima joined Galbraith in 2015 in our Inverness office and is currently based in our Elgin Office. She is a key member of our agency department specialising in the sale of residential and rural property. As a qualified chartered surveyor, Jemima also carries out valuations of residential properties.
Jill joined our Cupar office in August 2021. She works in the Sales and Lettings Team, previously having been involved in property sales. She is currently working towards the Association of Residential Letting Agents’ (ARLA) Propertymark accreditation for letting agents
Joe joined Galbraith in July 2022 as a Graduate Rural Surveyor based in the Stirling office. He studied Rural Enterprise and Land Management (BSc Hons) at Harper Adams University, where he completed a year's placement working for a diverse rural estate in Hampshire. After starting at Galbraith, Joe is working to achieve his APC and fellowship of CAAV qualifications.
John is a consultant with Galbraith where he practiced for most of his career specialising in buying and selling farms, estates and country houses, estate management and rural valuation work.
John joined Galbraith in 2018 as a Project Manager and is based in the Inverness Office. As a Chartered Engineer with 20 years of experience he manages large scale building construction projects and infrastructure installations throughout Scotland. John has previously managed the construction of commercial buildings, bridge and track works to support forestry operations, estate wide electrification projects and numerous hydro schemes.
Joyce is Applicant Manager and front of house at the Castle Douglas office. She plays a key part in the registering and contact of buyers and clients on a daily basis.
Juliette joined the Inverness Building Surveying and Architectural Department in 2014. Her career in Architectural Design spans 12 years, predominately involved in the conservation and restoration of historic buildings at the design stage and throughout the project management.
Kate joined Galbraith in 2018 after graduating with a first class Master’s Degree in Land Economy from the University of Aberdeen. She qualified as a Chartered Rural Surveyor in November 2020 and works as a Land Agent in the Rural department at the Perth office. Kate is involved in estate management, valuation and professional consultancy with a keen interest in forestry and natural capital.
Kathleen is responsible for residential agency in our Kelso office and has worked in residential sales in the Scottish Borders for over 40 years.
Katie joined Galbraith in October 2020 as a Graduate Rural Surveyor. She is based in the Castle Douglas and Penrith offices and is working towards her APC and fellowship of CAAV. She is involved in a wide range of valuations, farm and estate sales and estate management. Katie is a graduate of Glasgow Caledonian and Aberdeen University.
Kitty joined the Hexham office in September 2021 having qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in Dorset in 2019. Kitty is involved with estate management and professional consultancy with a keen interest in planning. Kitty is hoping to work towards becoming a Chartered Town Planner.
Kyle joined Galbraith in January 2021, after completing a honours degree in Forestry Management at the Scottish School of Forestry (UHI). He has experience working in urban forestry and arboriculture throughout the Highlands, during his time with his Fathers arboricultural company. Kyle has a keen interest in tree health and safety, along with tree pest and disease identification and management.
Lauren joined Galbraith in 2022 as a Land and Utilities Officer in our Stirling Office, having worked within the industry since 2017. Lauren specialises in securing land rights and consents required for utility projects across Scotland
Linda joined Galbraith in 2013 to work in the Farm Sales Team in the Stirling office and is now PA to Duncan Barrie and Simon Brown. Working closely with the agency team, she deals with telephone enquiries and viewing requests, liaising with clients and buyers on a daily basis.
Louise is based in the Inverness office, providing advice on all woodland management issues with a particular emphasis on Long Term Forest planning and specialist tree surveys. Louise has been working in the Highlands forestry industry for over 8 years and joined Galbraith in 2015 and also focuses on carbon.
Lucie joined Galbraith in 2012 and qualified in 2014. She works as a Land Agent in the Rural department at the Perth office covering Perthshire, Angus and northern Fife. Lucie is involved in estate management, valuation and professional consultancy work along with some rural property sales.
Lucy joined Galbraith in 2018 and is part of the commercial agency and asset management teams. She is involved in all areas of the commercial property sector including office, industrial and retail. She acts for a broad range of private and institutional clients, and specialises in both occupier and landlord acquisitions and disposals on a leasehold and heritable basis. She also provides a full range of Asset Management services across the commercial sector.
Mairi joined the Ayr office in 2019 after graduating with a RICS accredited Honours Degree in Rural Business Management. She qualified as a Chartered Rural Surveyor in December 2021 and undertakes a variety of estate management, valuation and professional work.
Marion is an Associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a RICS Registered Valuer and a member of the National Association of Estate Agents. With experience in the Scottish conveyancing system, she is able to guide clients through the legal process. She has been with the firm since 2007.
Marjory began her career seventeen years ago in the Ayr office of what was then Cluttons, later to become Galbraith. She deals with property management, rent arrears, gas and electric safety checks, end of tenancies and release of tenants deposits.
Mark leads the Kelso estate agency team and specialises in the brokerage of residential and agricultural property throughout the Borders and Southern Scotland. He is an RICS qualified Chartered Surveyor who has worked in sales since 1999. He has an ability to understand some of the more complex properties and has a passion for the delivery of results.
Mark joined Land Factor in 2011. Following the merger with Galbraith in 2019, Mark is now a Land Agent within our Hexham Office and carries out a wide range of professional and management work on rural properties across the North of England.
Marsaili is based in our Inverness office. She is a member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA) and holds the Property mark qualification in the Sale of Residential Property (Scotland) and the Residential Lettings and Property Management (Scotland) Level 6. A Landlord herself, she understands the process from the Landlords prospective and has an excellent knowledge of the local Lettings market.
Martin is Chief Executive of Galbraith. He joined the firm in 2008 and now has over 20 years experience of both residential and commercial sectors of building surveying. Martin previously worked with CB Richard Ellis and Kilmartin Property Group. He was partner in charge of Building Surveying at Galbraith providing the full range of building surveying services including project management, development monitoring and professional building surveying services for a wide range of clients until taking over as Chief Executive in April 2020.
Martin joined the rural department of Galbraith in 2019, having previously worked for a Farm Business Consultancy firm for 6 years. Martin is based in the Perth office and is involved in farm business management, natural capital, regenerative agriculture and agricultural consultancy work. Martin is an accredited farm advisor through FBASS and was brought up on a livestock farm outside of Cupar in Fife.
Matthew joined Land Factor in 2014. Following the merger with Galbraith in 2019 Matthew works throughout the North East of England from our Blagdon office and is managing agent for various large estates in Northumberland. His role includes works associated with residential, commercial and agricultural tenancies, in-hand farming operations, forestry and negotiating third party access on to land.
Megan joined the Hexham office in 2017 working in the estate management team. In November 2019 she joined the Residential Sales team.
Mike runs the Cupar Office and is Head of the Energy Division. With over 25 years experience Mike carries out a range of professional and management work on rural properties in central Scotland and the North of England. Mike also is a specialist in telecommunications, wind farm and compulsory purchase work.
Mike is based in our Edinburgh office and is mainly involved in estate management throughout East Lothian, the Borders and Lanarkshire. Mike is a farmer's son and has been with Galbraith for in excess of 30 years.
Neil joined Galbraith in 2011 and was based in the central belt until 2016 when he moved to our Inverness office. He has experience of managing city fringe and Highland Estates and undertakes all aspects of professional consultancy work such as negotiations and estate management, with a particular interest in fishery management and agriculture.
Niall sells country houses, farms and estates and undertakes valuation work across Argyll and the Isles. In additional to his consultancy role with Galbraith he is the owner of Torrisdale Estate, Carradale, where he resides.
Nicola joined Galbraith in 2017 and is based in our Edinburgh office. Nicola works within the commercial team specialising in rating for commercial properties and also providing planning guidance and advice to a range of clients.
Oliver joined Galbraith in August 2021, after moving up to Scotland for his new role in the firms Energy department. He is well-motivated and knowledgeable, with five years’ surveying experience in the private environmental sector, dealing with transport and communications and other nationally significant infrastructure projects within the UK.
Pamela is the Partner in charge of Commercial Property Asset Management, based in our Edinburgh office and working for clients throughout the UK. She specialises in the full range of Asset Management and Consultancy services across all the commercial sectors.
Pam is a Partner and a member of the firm's Commercial and Building surveying teams. Working across the UK and Ireland she has over 35 years' experience of commercial property specialising in asset management, project management and project monitoring for a wide range of clients. She has the breadth of experience to take complex projects from conception through to completion.
Paul works primarily with clients in central and southern Scotland. With 17 years experience, he has successfully planned and implemented timber harvesting and woodland establishment operations in a wide range of scenarios including mixed estates, upland plantations and native woodlands. He joined the forestry department in 2015.
Peter is a former director of Land Factor which he joined in 1998. Following the merger with Galbraith in 2019 Peter is a Partner based across our Hexham and Blagdon Offices. Working throughout the North East of England he specialises in estate management, rural commercial property and deal negotiation with a particular interest in mineral extraction.
Peter joined Galbraith in 2010 when he returned to Scotland after working for GVA Grimley in London. He is Head of Building Surveying and predominantly undertakes commercial projects and professional work throughout Scotland and England. Peter has a working knowledge of rural property through his family farm in the Borders. Peter also covers some rural and residential Building Surveying work.
Phiddy joined Galbraith in 2008 and is based in our Inverness office. An Associate member of the RICS and a member of the National Association of Estate Agents, she heads up residential sales in the Highlands and handles the sale of town and rural properties. An active member of the local business community, Phiddy is on the committee of the local branch of Women in Property and represents Galbraith in supporting young people in the area.
Philippa joined Galbraith as a graduate in 2017 after graduating from The University of Aberdeen with a Distinction in Land Economy. Philippa qualified as a Chartered Rural Surveyor in October 2019. Philippa is involved in management and utilities, as well as carrying out a range of valuation and professional consultancy work.
Pippa joined Galbraith in 2021 as an Energy Assistant in our Perth Office. Pippa assists the Energy team with day to day Wayleave work and GIS mapping.
Polly is a consultant with Galbraith and handles property sales in the Scottish Borders. An experienced estate agent with knowledge of the Borders and Edinburgh markets, she joined the Galbraith team in September 2015.
Poppy is part of our rural team, based in Castle Douglas. She lives with her husband and three children on the family livestock farm. She has previously worked as assistant factor on the Isle of Bute; in our Stirling office managing a number of estates around Glasgow and Argyll, and with the rural team in our Edinburgh office.
Rachel joined Galbraith in 2014 where she carries out a range of professional and management work, based from the Cupar office. In addition to estate management, Rachel specialises in utilities, compensation and the valuation of rural properties.
Rachel joined Galbraith in October 2020 as a Graduate Rural Surveyor in the Inverness office. She graduated from the University of Glasgow with an honours degree in Biochemistry and is currently studying to complete the Rural Estate and Land Management masters in Harper Adams. Rachel is working towards qualifying as a rural chartered surveyor, and is involved in many aspects of estate management and professional work.
Rebecca is based in the Edinburgh office specialising in the sale and valuation for all types of rural and equestrian property.
Rebecca joined Galbraith in July 2021 as a lettings agent for our Castle Douglas office. She is a member of ARLA and holds the Property mark level six qualification. Rebecca attained her Level 6 Award in Sale of Residential Property (Scotland) qualification in November 2021.
Richard joined the Rural department of Galbraith in 2016. Based in the Stirling Office, Richard is involved in carrying out valuation work, agricultural consultancy and management work.
Richard heads up the firms Commercial division and works between our Edinburgh and Stirling offices. He and his team provide a range of consultancy, investment, agency and professional services to a wide ranging client base throughout Scotland and the UK. In addition Richard provides planning and consultancy advice on a number of large electricity transmission and renewable infrastructure projects.
Richard joined Galbraith in 2013 after the merger with Hayes MacFarlane and has a thorough understanding of the Scottish property market, with particular focus on the rural property and land market in Perthshire, Angus and Fife. Richard can therefore offer clients sound and professional advice relating to a wide range of property matters.
Robert joined Galbraith in 2010 having spent over 30 years in the construction sector working for companies such as Balfour Beatty, Mowlem and design consultants. He oversees various building projects and manages the day-to-day maintenance on a number of our key client property portfolios.
Rod joined Galbraith in 2003 and established the estate agency and valuation department in our then Glasgow office before returning home to Moray to open our Elgin office in 2009. He specialises in the sale and valuation of a wide range of property types in addition to other rural professional work. He runs his own farm in Moray.
Roddy is a former director of Land Factor which he joined in 2004. Following the merger with Galbraith in 2019 he is now the Partner in charge of our Hexham Office. Working throughout the North-East of England Roddy specialises in rural estate management. He has extensive experience of dealing with development land and taking it through the planning process.
Rose joined Galbraith in September 2019 as a Graduate Rural Surveyor in the Castle Douglas Office. She is currently working towards her APC and undertakes a variety of work including valuations and estate management as well as assisting with residential sales in her local area of Wigtownshire. Rose holds an honours degree in Rural Business Management which she studied at Scotland’s Rural College.
Russell joined Land Factor in 1999 which merged with Galbraith in 2019. He works as a Forest Manager within our Penrith Office, working throughout Northern England and Southern Scotland.
Ruth returned to the Galbraith Cupar office in January 2021 as Personal Assistant to Mike Reid and also provides administrative support to the energy and rural team in Cupar. Ruth has extensive experience working in public and private sectors across Fife and Edinburgh including in criminal defence, patents and NHS Fife.
Sam joined Galbraith in May 2014 and is one of the key members of our Estate Agency team in Inverness. She has considerable experience in this area of work and acts as a negotiator/property assistant covering sales of residential property, farms and estates.
Samantha joined Galbraith in 2013 and has many years’ experience working in Lettings. She is qualified with the highest industry qualification delivered by the Association of Residential Letting Agents’ (ARLA) Propertymark and is responsible for the day to day running of the Ayr Lettings Department.
Sam joined Galbraith in November 2019 and is a Partner and Head of Residential Agency in our Hexham office. He is a qualified chartered surveyor with twenty plus years’ experience selling mid to high value houses across the UK. Sam’s varied experience enables him to dissect some of the more complex scenarios and deliver continual results for his clients.
Sarah joined Galbraith in 2019 and is a chartered surveyor based in the Hexham Office. Sarah undertakes a wide range of rural practice work across the North of England, with a particular in interest valuations, estate management and rural grant work.
Sarah joined Galbraith in 2016 running the Lettings Department in both the Inverness and Elgin offices covering Moray and Speyside. She is a Member of the Association of Letting Agents and a Member of the National Association of Estate Agents. She is qualified with the highest industry qualification delivered by the ARLA Propertymark.
Scott has extensive experience within the residential and rural property market. Having previously worked in central London, Scott has built up the knowledge and expertise to support clients. With meticulous negotiating skills he offers exemplary client care.
Sheena is our regional residential representative for Wigtownshire and Stranraer. She has considerable experience and an unrivalled knowledge of the area in which she grew up and now lives and farms.
Shirley joined Galbraith in March 2021 and is based in our Cupar office. Shirley works within the residential team whilst also assisting the lettings department.
Simon specialises in the sale, purchase and valuation of farms throughout the country. Based at the National Farm Sales Centre in our Stirling office he has over 30 years' experience in the Scottish farming industry.
Stephen joined Galbraith in April 2019 and assists Hamish and Paul in the Perth Forestry team. Having begun his studies at the Barony College in Dumfries he then continued to study forestry at the University of Highlands and Islands in Inverness, graduating in 2019 with a degree in forest management. Stephen is involved in all aspects of forestry management.
Strath joined Galbraith in 2016, having previously worked in the mineral exploration and government sectors. He is responsible for the ongoing development of the organisation’s GIS infrastructure and provision of cartography, spatial analysis and data management services to clients in the renewable energy, utilities, commercial, rural, forestry and natural capital. He is a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, Chartered Geographer and member of the Association for Geographic Information.
Susan is the lettings manager in the Scottish Borders providing a comprehensive service for landlords and tenants. She has 14 years agency experience and is qualified with the highest industry qualification delivered by the Association of Residential Letting Agents’ (ARLA) Propertymark.
Based in our Inverness office, Tim is a member of the Rural Team, providing management services and consulting to a wide range of clients. An Honours graduate in Ecology, he has particular expertise in aquaculture work.
Tom joined Land Factor in 2016 which merged with Galbraith in 2019. Tom is a Land Agent within our Hexham Office working throughout Northern England and Southern Scotland managing rural estates. He also assists the sales teams with selling farms and country houses in Northumberland.
Tom is highly experienced in agricultural matters; sporting and landed estate management and rural property issues including estate agency, valuation compensation and managing contract farming agreements. A member of the Rural Arbitration and Valuation Nomination Committee he also undertakes expert witness functions. Tom has qualifications in agriculture and is a rural Chartered Surveyor and qualified Arbiter.
Tom joined Galbraith in April 2019 and is based in the Edinburgh office. He undertakes various commercial and rural projects throughout Scotland as well as a full range of professional building surveying services.
Tom is a former director of Land Factor which he joined in 1990. Following the merger with Galbraith in 2019 Tom is a Partner within our Hexham Office. Working throughout the North East of England he specialises in estate management, regenerative agriculture, strategy, tax planning and development agreements. He has a particular interest in Heritage Assets and diversification projects.
Vivien is based in the Ayr office and joined Galbraith in 2003. She is a fully qualified member of the National Association of Estate Agents and works in the agency department specialising in the sale of residential and rural properties.
Wattie has over 40 years’ experience in the Scottish rural property market and has lived and worked in Perthshire all his career. Formerly a Partner with Galbraith he now acts as a Consultant to the firm and involved in general practice work including property valuation and agency.
William was a partner with Galbraith from 2003 to 2013 and now acts as a consultant to our country estates team.
Will joined Galbraith in 2017 and is a Partner in the commercial investment team. He has 13 years experience advising institutional investors, banks, property companies and private investors across a range of property assets. Will is one of the most active investment agents within the Scottish industrial market and advises a number of companies on their UK property strategies.
