Project managing two standalone, mixed use units at the expanding Stirling Agricultural Centre.

Stirling Agricultural Centre

Services:   Project Management

We were appointed by United Auctions, Scotland's leading livestock auctioneers, to project manage two standalone, mixed use units at their expanding headquarters, Stirling Agricultural Centre. Unit 1 has been let to the incoming tenant Agricar.

Partner Pam Over project managed the development from conception, through planning as well as implementing the six-month programme with her project team, which involved appointing the contractors Algo and managing the project to completion.

Located on a 52-acre site on the A84 just off J10 of the M9, the Stirling Agricultural Centre is owned and operated by United Auctions. It comprises an auction market, which hosts weekly sales and the tri-annual Stirling Bull Sales, with office and retail units for agri businesses.

The Centre opened in July 2009 and Pam Over was involved in the development representing United Auctions' interests with the developers. The facility offers a cluster of professional agricultural brands providing essential services to the farming community and is already home to Carrs Billington, CKD Galbraith, Johnston Carmichael and Ledingham Chalmers.

The new development for tractor dealership Agricar extends to 6,372 sq ft and sits within a 7-acre site at the front of the main Centre.

Agricar relocated to Stirling, having outgrown its existing premises off the A84 in Doune. The new depot affords easy access for both customers collecting parts and heavy goods vehicles delivering machinery. The purpose-built premises have been designed to provide the ideal showroom, displaying the full range of vehicles the company supplies. Agricar's eight members of staff have relocated with the business and the company will be recruiting as it continues to grow.
