Luing benefits from a licensed store and post office, two village halls, a church and Heritage Centre with café which is a short walk from the cottage. The island and the surrounding waters enjoy an abundance of wildlife including otters, dolphins, basking sharks, deer, many species of birds and is home to the famous Luing cattle. It is also possible to enjoy a range of outdoor pursuits including fishing, sailing, kayaking, walking and cycling. The town of Oban with it extensive range of shops, retail outlets, leisure facilities and professional services is within easy reach by car or bus. The local train station connects the area to Glasgow and beyond. From the harbour a choice of ferry services operate to the Inner and Outer Isles. Further north at Connel, the small airport runs regular services to the Western Isles with plans to connect to Glasgow in future.DESCRIPTION11 Cullipool is a charming, deceptively spacious traditional island cottage having been extended by both the current and previous owners. The result is a very attractive generously proportioned property full of character. The cottage has been fully modernised for contemporary living while retaining a number of original features. From here is access to the good sized dining living area offering lovely views. Also on the ground floor are two good size bedrooms, two shower rooms and a utility room.
