The Land at Gartcurrachan is situated in a private rural position with the popular village of Balfron being only 4.8 miles away and offering an excellent range of local amenities. The historic City of Stirling (about 17 miles) offers the full range of amenities including shopping, leisure and business facilities with regular mainline rail connections t o Glasgow and Edinburgh. Glasgow (Scotland’s largest city) is only 21 miles away and Edinburgh (Scotland’s capital) is about an hour and a half’s drive away.
The Land at Gartcurrachan is located in close proximity to an excellent transport infrastructure with the M9/M80 motorway system accessible within about a 20 minute drive. Glasgow and Edinburgh International Airports are only about 26 miles and 50 miles distant respectively and offer regular domestic and international flights.
Sitting in the heart of the historic county of Stirlingshire, the local area offers an enormous range of cultural and leisure opportunities. There are some excellent golf courses in the area including a nearby course at Balfron as well as Buchanan Castle and Strathendrick Golf Clubs near Drymen, and the world famous courses at Loch Lomond and Gleneagles are easily accessible. The land bounds the scenic Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park to the west which offers world famous scenery with a plethora of recreation and leisure opportunities, including a wide range of water sports.

The Land at Gartcurrachan extends to approximately 1.84 Ha (4.55 acres) in total with 0.96Ha (2.37 Acres) of grassland currently utilised for the grazing of livestock with 0.86Ha (2.13 Acres) of amenity woodland providing shelter. The land is of an easterly aspect and has been classified by The James Hutton Institute as Grade 3.2 being suitable for livestock grazing or fodder production. The land is currently used for sheep grazing and is served with natural water in the form of a river along the eastern boundary. The field is enclosed by a combination of rylock and post and wire fencing. Access to the land at Gartcurrachan is taken directly from the roadside of the A81 via a field gate.
