Kersie Mains Farm is located on the southern banks of the River Forth approximately 0.5 miles from South Alloa. South Alloa is a small village located on the A905 road between Dunmore and Throsk. Kersie Mains lies approximately 6 miles east of Stirling, 7.3 miles north of Larbert and 8 miles east of Bridge of Allan. South Alloa is centrally located with excellent transport links to the M9, with Edinburgh and Glasgow located approximately 33 miles and 30 miles from the site respectively. Larbert train station is located 6.9 miles south with regular services to Edinburgh and Glasgow. Local amenities are available in nearby Throsk and Fallin, whilst Stirling offers a wide range of facilities including, supermarkets, restaurants, shops, and medical facilities.
This is an exciting opportunity to obtain a large steading development site within commuting distance of Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow. The site consists of a derelict 17th Century category “B” listed former farmhouse and a traditional farm steading with agricultural buildings to the west. The site is bounded on all sides by agricultural land and is accessed via a private road from Kersie Terrace a short distance to the east. The site extends approximately 7.9 acres.
The steading benefits from detailed planning consent for the redevelopment of the farm steading to form 6 substantial detached dwelling houses, of which 5 houses are new build and one house is a conversion of a former agricultural building, granted by Falkirk Council in October 2017 under reference P/17/0252/FUL.
A Section 75 payment for education contribution equating to £15,600 has already been paid by the seller.
A copy of the decision notice and associated plans are available on request from the selling agents.
