Craigvockin is walking distance from the centre of Killin, an attractive village, with the magnificent Falls of Dochart at its centre. Killin offers a range of day to day amenities, including individual retailers, chemist, doctors surgery, hotels and post office, together with a primary school, whilst secondary schooling is available at McLaren High School in Callander.
The town of Callander can be reached in approximately 30 minutes by car and offers excellent facilities including two supermarkets, butcher, baker, dentist surgery and numerous independent retailers. Crianlarich lies within a 20 minute car journey to the south-west with its railway station providing daily services, whilst Aberfeldy lies about 20 miles to the north-east with an excellent range of shops and the very popular Birks of Aberfeldy cinema. The historic City of Stirling, with its famous castle, lies to the south and offers a full range of amenities, including a shopping centre, restaurants, cinema and both railway and bus stations. For the golfer, there are 9 hole courses in Killin, Aberfeldy and at Mains of Taymouth near Kenmore, with an 18 hole course in Callander.
