Lodgehill & Land At Stewartfield
Lodgehill Farm is a productive livestock unit accompanied by a large modern farm steading with capacity to 210 head of cattle. Lodgehill Farmhouse is situated centrally within the holding in an elevated position and benefits from views over the surrounding countryside to the south. The Land at Lodgehill Farm provides an excellent mix of grazing and silage ground. The Land at Stewartfield provides a further area of grazing land suitable for fodder
production with some rough pasture located to the north of holding.
The current farming system has seen a number of fields having been reseeded and drained to maintain and improve the quality of the grass swards.
Lodgehill Farm is centred on a useful modern farm steading including several modern steel portal framed buildings and a silage clamp.
The farmland extends to 104.00 Ha (257.51 Acres) in all and currently runs herd commercial beef cattle with all grass and forage grown on the unit used for
home consumption. The farm steading has capacity to house up to 130 cows and calves in addition to around 80 store/finishing cattle. There is a range of
cattle sheds which include straw courts, cubicle sheds and slatted courts.
