Park Place is an attractive C listed traditional Georgian style home, situated in the small coastal settlement of Cove overlooking Loch Long to the west.

The property is approached via a private gravel drive which leads from the public road, terminating in a gravel sweep to the front of the house. The stone pillars which guard the front entrance to the ground floor accommodation originally formed part of residential dwelling in Glasgow. It is believed that part of the house was shipped on the barge as it came to collect the Coulport glass house for use as part of the Kibble Palace now part of Glasgow’s Botanic Gardens.

The property contains several traditional features attributed to this period style property including large spacious rooms with high ceilings and a stone staircase leading from a sizeable entrance hallway to the first floor.

There is a spacious drawing room with a solid wood burning stove and adjoining study and Butler’s Pantry. There is a large dining room to the front of the house, which over looks the front lawn and Loch Long. The kitchen has been modernised but in a traditional style with fitted cupboard space and Aga cooker. From the kitchen there is a useful utility room and several store rooms, WC and a boiler room. The stone staircase leads to the first floor which contains four sizeable bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower. There is also a large family bathroom with roll top bath and an additional box room adjacent. A separate staircase to the rear of the property provides access to former maid’s accommodation which comprises two further bedrooms and the coombed attic space. The dimensions and layout of the rooms are detailed in the floor plans.

OUTBUILDINGS
Situated to the south of the house there is a traditional stable block. The building is of stone construction under a slate roof with wood panelled walls and a concrete floor.

GARDEN
Park Place lies within an extensive garden ground extending to approximately 0.42 acres. A gravelled driveway leads to a parking area to the front of the property. Located to the front of the house there is a large area of lawn surrounded by mature trees, rhododendrons and other flowering shrubs.
