The Chocolate Box is conveniently located for the A92, about 1 mile away, which provides access to Dundee and Arbroath. The beach at East Haven is only 0.6 miles to the south which provides stunning views, walks and access for the Dundee to Arbroath cycle path, part of the North Sea Cycle Route. Monikie Country Park about 6.5 miles to the north-west offers a variety of water sports and walking around reservoirs, woodland and parkland. The stunning Lunan Bay is 15 miles to the north. There are many places to visit for walking, horse riding, cycling, sailing and water sports, fishing and enjoying wildlife. For golfers, there are well-known courses, from the championship course at Carnoustie, Montrose and Letham Grange. The Angus Glens are easily accessible and the Glenshee ski centre is about 56 miles to the north.
