Backmill Farmland extends to about 97.23 acres (39.35 ha) and comprises 4 arable fields which are gently sloping with a southerly aspect. Access is directly off the minor public road leading west from Bankfoot. The fields have all grown both arable and potato crops and, as part of the 2019 cropping, Field 8 is growing peas.
Mains of Airleywight and Backmill Farm have enjoyed a family shoot for many years. The topography of the farm, together with the various woodlands, offers a most enjoyable low ground shoot which could be further developed to incorporate numerous and varied drives. Further, roe and fallow deerstalking has been enjoyed over the subjects, together with duck flighting.
