The surrounding hills, glens and loch provide interesting walks and cycling opportunities. Fishing, shooting and stalking can all be taken locally and there are golf courses at Blair Atholl, Newtonmore, Kingussie and Pitlochry.
The Schoolhouse was originally constructed in 1926 as a schoolhouse for the children of the railway at Dalnaspidal. The property was later converted into a residential dwelling. The Schoolhouse has historically been occupied by the gamekeepers of Dalnaspidal Estate. In more recent years the property has been divided in two to suit the needs of the family occupying it. The property offers great potential to be reconfigured to create a single family home or could continue to operate as two separate units. The property retains a number of the traditional features associated with use as a school including the original school benches within the garden room.
The accommodation lies over one floor and comprises:-
Entrance Porch, 2 Reception Rooms, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, 2 Kitchens, Garden Room and former toilet blocks operating as stores.
GARDEN AND GROUNDS
The Schoolhouse is bound by generous garden grounds with a range of mature trees and shrubs. To the front of the property is a hardcore parking area which can accommodate a number of cars. Within the grounds there is a box profile garage and timber built garden store.
