The Balnakilly chalets sit in a quiet rural location to the north-west of the village of Kirkmichael within the county of Perthshire. The county has a lot to offer with opportunities for walking, climbing and mountain biking. The Cateran trail passes through the northern boundary of the site providing a great starting point to explore the idyllic Perthshire countryside. The ski slopes of Glenshee can be accessed within half an hour by car. There are golf courses located at Pitlochry and Blairgowrie.
Shooting, fishing and stalking can
all be taken locally. A fifteen minute walk away is the village of Kirkmichael which provides a village store, hotels and a highly regarded primary school. Kirkmichael has a strong community spirit,
with one of the highlights of the year being the Strathardle Highland Gathering and Agricultural Show. Both Pitlochry and Blairgowrie provide an excellent range of day to day amenities, as well as secondary schooling. Pitlochry train station has mainline connections to Edinburgh and Glasgow,
providing a sleeper service to London.
The cities of Dundee and Perth offer a wide array of services and amenities, with Dundee hosting two universities and an airport with regular flights to London Stansted. Both Edinburgh and Glasgow can be reached in approximately two hours by car and host an extensive range of city amenities, including international airports.
Balnakilly chalets comprise four Norwegian-style log cabins of timber construction sitting under tiled roofs. The chalets all share a similar layout comprising two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen/sitting room. The chalets enjoy a delightful south facing
situation and although in need of refurbishment,
present a great opportunity for someone looking to establish a holiday letting business, subject to obtaining the necessary planning consents.
Immediately to the front of the chalets is an area of amenity ground, predominately down to grass, with an attractive stream . To the west is an area of hill ground, comprising rough grazing and a range of coniferous and broad leaf trees. This hill area provides excellent amenity ground which presents a wealth of opportunities to potential purchasers.
