Fishing pools are on the river Tay at Pincastle, Grandtully and Findynate and there is easy access to the Grandtully rapids.
Perth is the closest city where a variety of shopping facilities are available from retail parks to well known high street shops, major supermarkets and a variety of independent retailers, hospital, railway station, library, health and fitness centres.

Independent schools can be found at Strathallan, Morrison’s Academy and Glenalmond School for boys and girls, prep schools at Ardvreck and Craigclowan and Kilgraston School for girls.
