Tigh Mhuillean is located on an elevated position within Mill Street, a single lane road leading from Bank Street along to Victoria Park and adjacent to the Moness Burn. The historic town of Aberfeldy offers a selection of restaurants, coffee shops, independent retailers, banks, supermarket, nursery, primary and secondary schooling at the well regarded Breadalbane Academy, doctors, dentist and veterinary practices. Water sports may be enjoyed on Loch Tay at Kenmore where the marina, with purpose built facilities, offers sailing, canoeing and kayaking and the surrounding hills and glens offer ample routes for hill walking. The magnificent Loch Tay also provides spectacular views, with Ben Lawers located on its north shore, and the river Tay offers excellent salmon fishing. Nearby Strathtay is on the national cycle network and for the walking enthusiast Strathtay is part of the Rob Roy Way with a track leading to Pitlochry. Fishing pools are on the river Tay at Pincastle, Grandtully and Findynate and there is easy access to the Grandtully rapids.
Perth is the closest city where a variety of shopping facilities are available from retail parks to well known high street shops, major supermarkets and a variety of independent retailers, hospital, railway station, library, health and fitness centres.
Independent schools can be found at Strathallan, Morrison’s Academy and Glenalmond School for boys and girls, prep schools at Ardvreck and Craigclowan and Kilgraston School for girls. There is a mainline train station at Pitlochry and Dunkeld with direct services to Edinburgh, Inverness, Perth and a sleeper service to London Euston from Dunkeld.
