Colinswood House is located in the popular hamlet of Blairingone which lies two miles south east of Dollar in the foot of the Ochil Hills.
Dollar is situated between the Ochil Hills to the north and the River Devon to the south. It is home to the highly regarded Dollar Academy and enjoys a variety of services including banking, Post Office, health centre, pharmacy and dentist.

Nearby Dunfermline offers a more extensive range of services, including a number of supermarkets, shopping centre and the Fife Leisure Park, which offers a cinema, bowling alley and a host of restaurants. Stirling is also within easy reach, and offers all the services and facilities which you would expect from a City, including a train and bus station.

Stirling University lies to the west of the town.
Excellent schooling is available within the district at Kinross High School and there is local primary schooling available in Blairingone. The location is highly commutable to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth and Stirling. Train stations are available at Alloa and Gleneagles, both eight miles from Blairingone.
