Harryhill Farm enjoys a highly scenic rural setting to the east of Blairgowrie and to the west of Forfar. Local shopping can be found in the villages of Meigle and Coupar Angus, with Meigle providing a convenience shop with further day to day amenities in Forfar, Blairgowrie, Perth and Dundee. The town of Forfar is well placed for all local amenities and a choice of supermarkets. It also offers a police station, library, community hospital, medical practices, a veterinary practice and a range of other professional services. There is a swimming pool, leisure centre and a sailing club on Forfar Loch. Nearby Blairgowrie has two major supermarkets, a selection of independent shops, restaurants, two medical centres and a cottage hospital. Primary schooling is available in Meigle, Blairgowrie and Forfar and secondary schooling is available in Forfar, Blairgowrie, Dundee and Perth.

There are railway stations at Perth and Dundee, with an airport at Dundee with direct flights to London City, Birmingham, and Belfast, whilst Edinburgh airport has a wide range of domestic and international flights.
