Gruinard is located within close proximity to the M90 and the village of Cleish in the county of Kinross-shire. Cleish benefits from a primary school, village hall, sports field and Church. The small town of Milnathort, close by, is located within picturesque countryside and at the foot of the Ochil Hills, in addition to being near the north shore of Loch Leven where there is a national nature reserve. The town offers many amenities including a nine hole golf course, park, primary school, pubs and shops. Kinross, also located nearby, offers a leisure centre, health centre and a secondary school at Loch Leven Community Campus. Kinross has some beautiful walking and cycling paths with the Loch Leven Trails offering walking and cycling heritage trails around the shoreline of Loch Leven. The Kinross Golf Courses, The Montgomery and The Bruce are wonderful parkland courses with views of the West Lomond Hills. The world renowned Gleneagles golf resort is located about 18 miles away, which hosted the 2014 Ryder Cup. It provides three championship golf courses, falconry, equestrian centre, health suite, tennis courts and a superb selection of restaurants. Gruinard is conveniently located to take full advantage of having quick access to Scotland’s principal cities of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Dundee.
