Braefoot Cottage sits to the north of the River Tay within the county of Perthshire. The area has a lot to offer with an incredibly diverse range of outdoor activities as well as numerous golf courses which include Strathtay and Pitlochry. Walking and cycling in the nearby Tay Forrest Park which has a rich array of flora and fauna, notably the red squirrel. Fishing, shooting and stalking can all be taken locally and there are a number of prestigious fishing pools on the nearby River Tay. For skiers and snowboarders there is the Glenshee Ski Centre which is only 40 miles away. Aviemore and access to the Cairngorms is just 66 miles north.
Braefoot Cottage sits equidistant between Pitlochry and Aberfeldy which both offer a varied selection of restaurants, coffee shops, independent retailers, banks, supermarkets, nursery, primary and secondary schooling, as well as leisure facilities. Aberfeldy is home to the Birks Cinema which shows a mix of new releases and classics, whilst Pitlochry plays host to the well renowned Festival Theatre and iconic fish ladder.
