Finlarig Lodge enjoys an outstanding location, sitting in an elevated position looking south across Loch Tay, to the north-east of Killin in the County of Stirlingshire and on the boundary with Perthshire. Commanding outstanding views over the loch and onto the hills beyond, Finlarig Lodge enjoys a quiet rural setting close to Killin, an attractive village, with the magnificent Falls of Dochart at its centre. Killin offers a range of day-to-day amenities, including individual retailers, chemist, doctors surgery, hotels and post office, together with a primary school, whilst secondary schooling is available at McLaren High School in Callander. The town of Callander can be reached in approximately a 30 minute journey by car and offers excellent facilities including two supermarkets, butcher, baker, dentist surgery and numerous independent retailers. The historic City of Stirling, with its famous castle, lies to the south and offers a full range of amenities, including a shopping centre, restaurants, cinema and both railway and bus stations. There are a wealth of recreational activities on the doorstep of Finlarig Lodge including water sports and sailing on Loch Tay, a variety of tracks in the surrounding hills and glens for walking and mountain biking, whilst fishing, shooting and stalking can all be taken locally.
