Land To The North Of Old Kyle Road
The subjects are located near the village of Kyleakin which lies on the eastern edge of the Isle of Skye overlooking the stretch
of water that separates Skye from the mainland. The village is host to a number of local amenities including, restaurants, café, post office and primary school. A more comprehensive range of amenities including bus and rail links are available at Kyle of Lochalsh, lying just two miles away over the Skye Bridge. The area is also a good base for exploring the rest of Skye and offers a wide range of outdoor pursuits including hill walking, cycling and fishing.
The subjects extend to approximately 1.8 acres and are bounded to the north by a footpath, to the west by trees and scrub land, to the south by a house plot and the site access and to the east by residential properties. The subjects
are currently laid to trees and scrub land and generally overgrown. Part of the site occupies an elevated position and benefits from some sea views.
The subjects are zoned for housing within the West Highlands and Islands Local Plan which was adopted in 2010.
