Duneaton House is situated in the small village of Wiston lying 8 miles south west of Biggar. The house enjoys magnificent views and is surrounded by beautiful countryside, which includes Tinto Hill and Dungavel Hill. Despite its peaceful rural location it is within commuting distance of both Edinburgh and Glasgow and there is a regular train service to Glasgow from Lanark, which is only a short drive away. The house is also well placed for easy access to the M74 and routes south and north. For day to day needs, the market town of Biggar has a good selection of local shops including butchers, a delicatessen, a bakery, grocery shop, greengrocer/fishmonger and 2 supermarkets, together with a thriving primary and secondary school, restaurants, parks, and its own golf course. Horse riding and hill walking are also favourite pursuits.
