Hill House dates from 1858 and was originally built as Broughton United Free Church before being used as the John Buchan Centre. In 2013 the current owners converted the property into the multipurpose property that is Hill House. The front section of the church is set up as a spacious gallery and includes a cloakroom and storage areas. The entrance to the gallery together with the cloakroom are suitable for wheel chair access.

From the gallery a door leads into the residential apartment. The apartment, incorporating many original features, has been finished to a high specification and offers contemporary bright, spacious and adaptable accommodation. The open plan kitchen/dining/family room has a modern finish and offers an ideal area for open plan living. The feature sitting room boasts full size windows and has been fitted with a multi-fuel stove. The unique mezzanine bedroom with en suite shower room adds to the contemporary feel of the property.

Hill House has been double glazed throughout and is fitted with under floor heating throughout.

Although currently used as a gallery, the large, open gallery space could be also be utilised as a home office or business premises. There is also scope to extend the current accommodation or alternatively, convert into another property, subject to the appropriate consents.

Hill House is set in generous grounds extending to approximately one third of an acre. To the front of the house is a generous and level parking area.
Doors from the utility room as well as the hall lead out to the rear garden. A gravel terrace provides a sheltered area for al fresco dining. The remainder of the garden is mostly laid to lawn.
