Jedburgh is one of the principal towns in the Scottish Borders and straddles the A68 which links Edinburgh with the northeast of England. The town has a good range of amenities including shops, Doctors surgery, hotels, sporting and recreational facilities. A new school campus with provision for nursery, primary and secondary school children has recently been completed.

As with most Borders towns Jedburgh has a colourful Common riding playing host to the annual Jethart Callants festival where the elected Jethart Callant leads ride outs on horseback around the towns historic marches during the months of June and July culminating in a festival day.

Historic attractions in, and around, Jedburgh include the Castle Jail, Mary Queen of Sots house, the Abbey and Ferniehirst Castle.

The surrounding countryside offers superb walking, cycling and horse riding along with a great choice of fishing spots and golf courses. Harestanes Countryside Visitors Centre lies within easy reach of Jedburgh.

The Borders railway terminates at Tweedbank, about 14 miles from The Granary, and has a regular service to Edinburgh.

DIRECTIONS
Travelling in to Jedburgh from the north on the A68 turn sharp left immediately after crossing the Jed Water. Head uphill before turning right and continuing uphill for about 3/4 mile to 30MPH speed limit signs as you enter the small group of houses at Easter and Wester Ulston. Turn left immediately after the speed limit sign on to a private tarred road and keep left at the junction, passing a modern house on your left before arriving at The Granary on your right at the end of the road.
