Coledale House has an excellent central location a short distance to the north of Kelsos town square. The building has a south easterly aspect to the front and the flat enjoys open south easterly outlooks over a small car park to East Bowmont Street. All the town centre amenities are within easy reach, including the library which is just round the corner from Coledale House. The property is situated in Kelsos conservation area.
Considered by many to be the most attractive of the Borders towns Kelso is noted particularly for its fine Market Square and for the remains of one of the great Border Abbeys. The town provides a good shopping centre together with an excellent range of social and sporting facilities including golf, bowls, tennis, swimming, curling, National Hunt racing and fishing. An impressive new high school has recently been built on the northern edge of Kelso, along with a new primary school in Broomlands.
Kelso sits at the confluence of the River Tweed and the River Teviot and the surrounding countryside is noted for its scenic beauty.
Kelso has good road links with the other principal towns in the Scottish Borders and there are railway stations at both Tweedbank (17 miles) and Berwick upon Tweed (25 miles).
Coledale House was formerly the manse for Trinity Church - which lies to its west - and was sub-divided into four flats in the 1990s.
3 Coledale House is a tremendous first floor flat which offers bright, well appointed and nicely proportioned accommodation. The flat benefits from gas fired central heating and there is a living flame gas fire in the sitting room. Kitchen and bathroom fittings are modern and there is good built-in storage space off the entrance hall and in both bedrooms.
There is a shared gravelled car parking area in front of Coledale House along with a small shared courtyard at the southwest end of the building. There is a small outside store which belongs with the flat.
Hall, sitting room, kitchen, 2 double bedrooms and bathroom (with WC, basin and bath with shower above).
From Kelsos Square walk up Bowmont Street, passing A Hume and the Cobbles on your left. Veer right along Bowmont Street and Coledale House is the attractive detached property which sits behind the small public car park on your left just after passing Trinity Church.
