Jedburgh is one of the main towns in the Scottish Borders and is popular with both residents and tourists. The town has a good range of amenities including shops, primary and secondary schools (a new school campus is currently under construction), post office, Doctor’s surgery, hotels, sporting and recreational facilities. The main tourist attractions in the town are the historic ruined Abbey, the Castle Jail and Mary Queen of Scot’s House. In addition the surrounding countryside is noted for its scenic beauty and historic interest.
Jedburgh straddles the A68 which provides good vehicular access both north to Edinburgh and south to the northeast of England. The Borders Railway, which terminates at Tweedbank (15 miles) has a regular train service to and from Edinburgh.
Abbey House is a charming, traditional end-terraced house which appears to date from 1877 and is Listed (Category C) as being of special architectural or historical interest. The house lies within Jedburgh’s conservation area.
The accommodation is on two levels and benefits from a ground floor WC in addition to the first floor bathroom. There is gas fired central heating from a “Worcester” boiler in the kitchen.
A loft ladder provides access to the part floored attic, with electric light, and this is a useful storage area.
Entrance hall, WC (with WC and basin), living room and kitchen.

An attractive feature of Abbey House is its garden which runs down towards Jedburgh Abbey and includes lawn, gravel and a patio.
On street car parking is available in Abbey Close.
