66 Broomlea enjoys a peaceful residential location about half a mile to the north east of, and level with, Kelso’s town centre.
Considered by many to be the most attractive of the Borders towns Kelso is noted particularly for its fine market Square and for the remains of one of the great Border Abbeys. The town provides a good shopping centre together with an excellent range of social, sporting and recreational facilities including golf, bowls, tennis, swimming, curling, national hunt racing and fishing. An impressive new High School has recently been built on the northern edge of Kelso, along with a new Primary School at Broomlands.
Kelso sits on the confluence of the River Tweed and the River Teviot and the surrounding countryside is noted for its scenic beauty. The town has good road links with the other principle towns in the Scottish Borders and there are railway stations at both Tweedbank (17 miles) and Berwick Upon Tweed (25 miles).
66 Broomlea is an attractive end-terraced family home with spacious, well appointed and well presented accommodation. The house benefits from gas fired central heating and windows are double glazed. There is excellent built in storage space—including a floored attic—and the integral garage is currently used as a workshop/store/utility room. The garage appears to have conversion potential—subject to obtaining the necessary consents.
Ground Floor: Entrance hall, sitting room, dining room and kitchen.
First Floor: Landing, 3 bedrooms and shower room (with shower, basin and WC)
There are attractive areas of garden ground to the front, side and rear of the house, the back garden being child/dog safe. The garden includes gravel, borders , lawn and patio. Shed and greenhouse.
The driveway leading to the garage has space for two cars—in tandem.
From The Square travel east along Woodmarket continuing into Shedden Park Road and passing Shedden Park on your left. Go straight through the roundabout into Coldstream Road before turning left into Broomlea. Take the second right turn and No 66 is the first house on your left.
