Old Orchard Cottage
Old Orchard Cottage has a delightful rural location approximately 2 miles to the east of, and uphill from, Hawick's town centre. The cottage enjoys tremendous north easterly outlooks down the Teviot Valley to the Minto Hills.
Hawick is the largest town in the Scottish Borders and has a wide range of amenities including shops, primary and secondary schools, sporting and recreational facilities. The countryside around the town is noted for its natural beauty and caters for sporting and outdoor enthusiasts.
Hawick straddles the A7, which links Edinburgh with Carlisle, and the town has good road links with the other principal towns in the Scottish Borders. The Borders rail link with Edinburgh terminates at Tweedbank which is within easy driving distance of Old Orchard Cottage.
Leave Hawick on the A698 to Jedburgh, turning first right onto the Bonchester Bridge road (A6088). After approximately 1 mile turn right again at a small group of houses and then take the first right turn heading up hill to Orchard. Old Orchard Cottage lies on your right.
Alternatively, Old Orchard Cottage can be reached by heading up Wellgate Brae from Hawick's High Street, turning left on to Braid Road at the top of the town and following this road through countryside to Orchard. Old Orchard Cottage will then lie of your left. See location plan.
Old Orchard Cottage is a charming detached cottage which provides nicely proportioned and well appointed accommodation all at ground floor level. The cottage has oil fired central heating and an attractive kitchen with oil fired "Aga" cooker.

In addition to the stabling Old Orchard Cottage has a useful turn out area and an impressive rubber surfaced manege.
