11 Tweed House has an excellent central location within one of the most popular towns in the Scottish Borders. Being able to walk easily to and from the Square/town centre with its restaurants and shops is a significant benefit. The apartment has some fine outlooks and the view from the balcony includes the River Tweed, Floors Castle and Kelso Abbey.
From The Square head up Roxburgh Street and Tweed House lies on your right between Union Street and Beech Tent Lane.
Arguably the most attractive of the Borders towns, Kelso is set in an area of great scenic beauty and is noted particularly for its fine Market Square and for the remains of one of the great Border Abbeys. The town sits at the confluence of the River Tweed and the River Teviot. Kelso provides a good shopping centre together with an excellent range of social and sporting facilities including golf, bowls, tennis, rugby, football, swimming, curling, National Hunt racing and fishing. A new high school is currently under construction on the edge of the town. Kelso has good road links with the other principal towns in the Borders and there are railway stations at both Tweedbank and Berwick upon Tweed.
11 Tweed House is a tremendous penthouse apartment which provides bright, well appointed and beautifully presented accommodation. The modern fitted kitchen includes built in Smeg appliances - oven, microwave, hob, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher. Sanitary fittings are modern and the apartment benefits from both electric heating and double glazing.
The balcony is a particularly pleasing feature of the apartment and is a lovely place to sit out and enjoy the views.
There is a single allocated car parking space with the penthouse, along with a shared bicycle store and shared bin area.
Tweed House is factored by FBR who deal with the building insurance, common maintenance repairs and the general upkeep of the building - including the cleaning of the common stairwell. Further details on FBRs charges are available from the selling agents.
The furniture in 11 Tweed House is available for purchase by separate negotiation if desired. The fitted carpets, curtains and blinds are included in the sale.
