The plot lies immediately to the east of the former Southdean Primary School on the northern edge of Chesters and is accessed from Chesters Brae. There are fine outlooks from the plot and open fields to the rear of the property.
The surrounding countryside is noted for its scenic beauty and affords a wide range of outdoor pursuits including walking, cycling and horse riding.
Chesters is a small village approximately equidistant between Jedburgh and Hawick and within easy reach of the A68 which links Edinburgh with the northeast of England.
From the crossroads on the A6088 head east up Chesters Brae taking the first turning on the left up to the Auld School. The plot lies immediately to the east of the buildingnow converted and occupied as a house.

This is an attractive plot which is currently used as garden ground and slopes gently down to the south. The plot is largely in grass and includes an attractive old apple tree. It is bounded by beech hedges and a stone dyke.
