The Cottage has a good, central location within the popular conservation village of Morebattle and enjoys an easterly aspect to the front.
Morebattle lies in the foothills of the Cheviots beside the Kale Water. It's name, which means dwelling place by the lake, originates from the former Linton Loch which lay between Morebattle and Linton but was drained as part of the 19th Century agricultural improvements in the area. Morebattle has a village shop, primary school, inn and church and there is a wider range of amenities available in nearby Kelso - including a well regarded high school (new high school is currently under construction), ice rink, race course, golf course, swimming pool, Doctors surgery, shops, hotels and restaurants.
The countryside around Morebattle is known for its scenic beauty and country pursuits. The popular St Cuthberts Way (long distance footpath between Melrose and Lindisfarne) passes through the village.
"The Cottage" is an attractive small traditional mid-terraced cottage which provides compact and sensibly laid out living accommodation.
The cottage has front and back gardens, the back garden including patio, border and lawn and being child/dog safe. There is a timber garden shed. The front garden includes cobbles, grass and a holly bush.
