Swinton is a picturesque and accessible conservation village lying between Duns and Coldstream amidst scenic Borders countryside. The village has a good range of amenities including the Award winning Wheatsheaf Hotel, a well regarded primary school and a church. A wider range of amenities, including shops and a fairly new high school, is found in nearby Duns.
The surrounding area has a good range of outdoor activities available including fishing, horse riding, walking and cycling. In addition, Swinton has good road links and easy access to the rugged east coast. There is a main line railway station at Berwick upon Tweed.
West Cottage is a delightful traditional detached cottage which is full of character and provides bright, versatile and nicely proportioned family sized accommodation. One of the four double bedrooms is on the ground floor.
The cottage benefits from oil fired central heating, the boiler having fairly recently been renewed, and windows are part double glazed.
The cottage has a lovely back garden which includes patio, lawn and apple trees. There are small areas of garden ground to both the front and side of the cottage and there is a driveway which provides ample off road car parking.
A spacious outbuilding attached to the rear of the cottage includes a garage area and could be used to extend the existing accommodation if desired - subject to obtaining the necessary consents
