Broadmeadows is a collection of houses at the eastern end of the small village of Yarrowford. The village nestles in the heart of the beautiful Yarrow valley, approximately 5 miles to the west of Selkirk.

Noted for its scenic beauty the Yarrow Valley is celebrated in the old Borders Ballads and in the verse of James Hogg the Ettrick Shepherd More recently the tranquillity of the location has been captured in the paintings of the Borders artist Tom Scott (1854 to 1927). The Yarrow Water flows down the valley from St Mary's Loch to the Ettrick Water, south west of Selkirk. The Valley is mainly devoted to pastoral farming and forestry and is an excellent location for walkers, horse riders and mountain bikers whilst fishermen are catered for on the Yarrow Water.

Nearby Selkirk has a population of around 6,000 and is well served by amenities-including two small supermarkets , shops, health centre, primary and secondary schools.

From Selkirk take the A708 Moffat road and immediately after crossing the second bridge over the Yarrow Water turn right towards Broadmeadows. Turn first left into a short cul-de-sac and number 5 is the second last bungalow on your left before reaching the end of the cul-de-sac .

5 Broadmeadows is an attractive detached bungalow which dated from around 1977 and enjoys tremendous southerly outlooks over a large pond. The bungalow benefits from oil fired central heating and provides comfortable , family sized accommodation.

The property sits within spacious and nicely landscaped garden grounds which include lawn, borders, vegetable garden, mature trees, seating area and a 3/4 share in the picturesque large pond lying to the south of the bungalow. The eastern half of the garden was originally intended to be a separate plot and it appears that there would be scope to build a second property here- subject to obtaining the necessary consents-if desired.

An attractive feature of 5 Broadmeadows is its useful range of attached outbuilding which include three workshops, a single car garage and the oil tank store. There is ample off road car parking with the property.
