Roseacre has an excellent location which is peaceful and private whilst being within 5 minute walk of Kelso’s town centre and 3 minutes walk of the River Tweed.
Maxwell Lane links Abbotsford Grove with The Knowes, between the town centre and the River Tweed. Rose Acre has a private position on the south side of the lane, set back from the road. The bungalow has a south easterly aspect to the front and lies within Kelso’s conservation area.
Arguably the most attractive of the Borders towns, Kelso is set in an area of great scenic beauty and is noted particularly for its fine Market Square and for the remains of one of the great Border Abbeys. The town sits at the confluence of the River Tweed and the River Teviot. Kelso provides a good shopping centre together with an excellent range of social and sporting facilities including golf, bowls, tennis, swimming, curling, National Hunt racing and fishing. There are plans to build a new high school in the town. Kelso has good road links with the other principal towns in the Borders and there is a main line railway station at Berwick upon Tweed.
Roseacre is a tremendous modern detached bungalow which dates from the early 1990s and provides spacious and versatile family sized accommodation.
The bungalow has gas fired central heating and windows are double glazed. There is good built in storage space, including a part floored attic with loft ladder access. Kitchen and sanitary fittings are modern.
Roseacre sits within spacious garden grounds which include ample off road parking space for several cars, lawn, gravel, vegetable plot, garden sheds and a greenhouse. The garden enjoys a good degree of privacy and is child/dog safe. The bulk of the garden lies to the front/south east of the bungalow.
