The Old Manse has a peaceful, yet central residential location a short distance to the north of Selkirk’s High Street. The property has a north westerly aspect to the front and is located at the junction of Hallidays Park and Chapel street.

Selkirk has a population of around 6,000 and is beautifully situated on rising ground above the Ettrick Water. The town has a long and colourful history and its sports and leisure facilities include a swimming pool and golf course. Selkirk also has a well regarded secondary school and good primary schools. Shopping facilities include two small supermarkets and a variety of local shops. Selkirk has a central location in the Scottish Borders and straddles the A7 which provides good vehicular access both north to Galashiels and Edinburgh and south to Hawick and the northwest of England.

The Waverley Rail Link between Galashiels and Edinburgh is due to re-open in September 2015.

The Old Manse is an attractive, traditional detached family home providing spacious and nicely proportioned family sized accommodation.

The building is Listed, Category C(S) as being of special architectural or historical interest and lies within Selkirk’s conservation area.

The spacious and nicely proportioned family sized accommodation benefits from gas central heating and windows are double glazed. A secondary staircase off the rear hall provides access to a useful first floor room which could be used as a home office or 6th bedroom.

The Old Manse sits within its own garden grounds which include lawn, mature shrubs and trees. Double gates from Hallidays Park lead into a parking area immediately in front of the house and outbuildings include a garage and garden store.
