Kelso is arguably the most attractive of the Borders towns and is noted particularly for its fine Market Square and the remains of one of the great Borders Abbeys. The town sits at the confluence of the rivers Tweed and Teviot and provides a good shopping centre together with an excellent range of social and sporting facilities - including golf, bowls, tennis, swimming, curling ,National Hunt Racing and fishing. Kelso has good road links with the other principal towns in the Borders and there is a main line railway station at Berwick Upon Tweed.
From Kelso take the B6352 Yetholm road, veering left at Proctors Smithy on to the B6396. Continue along the B6396 for approximately 5 miles before reaching Holefield Farm on your left (there is a sign to Cloud Nine Cattery at the turning). To get to the cottages you require to drive through the steading.
