Manse House and Coach House are in Tain in Easter Ross, an historic Royal Burgh lying on the southern shores of the Dornoch Firth. Formerly a manse, the house is B listed and of classic early Georgian design with beautifully proportioned rooms over three floors. The former coach house within the grounds has been converted to create a charming two bedroom cottage.

Tain is on the NC500 route and has a good range of shops and amenities including major supermarkets, a railway station and schooling up to and including secondary level. Inverness is less than an hour’s drive away and has all the facilities of a modern city including its airport with regular flights to the South and Europe.

Tain is at the base of the Tarbat Peninsula, a promontory lying to the north of Inverness between the Dornoch and Cromarty Firths. The area is renowned for its dry climate, wonderful coastal light and fertile farmland culminating in a coastline of sheer cliffs and sandy beaches dotted with historic fishing villages. This varied landscape offers many opportunities for a wide range of rural sports and recreation, while the coastline has a series of links golf courses, the most famous of which, the Royal Dornoch Championship Course, is a short drive from the house.

Manse House has been in the same family for over 40 years and the continuity of ownership has ensured the integrity of this beautiful Georgian house remains intact.
