Creel Lodge is one of a small cluster of houses at Littleferry, a former ferry crossing lying close to Golspie in the Scottish Highlands. The house is in a stunning setting, lying on the north bank of the Loch Fleet estuary, with an SSI forest backdrop and beautiful, south facing views. Just a short walk along the coast is a sandy beach, there are way-marked walks directly from the house and Golspie’s highly rated links golf course is about two miles away.

This area of Sutherland is known for its stunning coastline, dramatic landscape and dry climate. This peaceful region offers many activities including walking, hill climbing and fishing. Golspie has a good range of shops and facilities including schooling up to secondary level and a railway station. The links courses in the villages along the coast are well known and Dornoch championship course is just a short drive away. Nearby Tain has a number of major supermarkets, while Inverness has all the facilities of a modern city including its airport with regular flights to the south and Europe.

Creel Lodge was designed by award winning architect, Lachie Stewart, and is an outstanding house in the traditional Scottish style, constructed and finished to the very highest specification. Attention to detail is evident throughout the property, from the beautifully proportioned exterior sitting comfortably in its setting, to the superb interior which is at once welcoming, interesting and well laid out. The building, which received an RIBA award in 2010, is designed to provide spacious, light and comfortable family accommodation, maximising the stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Some of the exceptional features of the house include the magnificent open plan sitting room and dining room with its panoramic views, state-of-the-art kitchen with walk-in fridge, bespoke oak staircase with hidden cupboard, the master bedroom suite, underfloor heating on both floors and an integrated sound system.
