The Corran, also known as Caiseachan, is on the lochside in Shieldaig, a charming fishing village in Wester Ross strung along the shore of Loch Shieldaig. The loch has always provided a safe harbour for many sea-going vessels. Today, the main fishing industry is for prawns, crab and lobster, while sailing boats and cruise ships, including the Hebridean Princess, visit during the summer. Moorings on the loch are available through the local Mooring Association and the Crown Estate.
The village has a shop, hotel, coffee shop and primary school with secondary schooling available at Gairloch. Dingwall, about a 1 hour 15 minute drive away, has a good range of shops and amenities including a major supermarket and railway station, while Inverness has all the facilities of a modern city including its airport with regular flights to the south and Europe.

The west coast is famous for its mild climate, beautiful coastline and exquisite island views. The unspoilt countryside and traditional communities make this area popular with those seeking a change of lifestyle or a second home and The Corran is an excellent base from which to enjoy this region. The surrounding countryside offers some superb scenery with the opportunity for many outdoor pursuits including hill walking, mountaineering, fishing, and sailing.

The Corran is a sensitively renovated end terrace cottage with grounds extending to the foreshore of Loch Shieldaig. The cottage has well-appointed accommodation with a welcoming sitting room with open fireplace, separate dining room, well-equipped kitchen, and bathroom with shower. On the first floor there are two comfortable double bedrooms, a single bedroom and WC.

The Corran is a successful holiday let managed through Unique Cottages with bookings during large parts of the year and many return guests. The option exists to purchase the business element of the property from the owner by separate negotiation.
