Insh Cottage is in a beautiful setting close to Spean Bridge in Inverness-shire. Surrounded by an SSSI, the cottage is secluded and private, its wooded grounds blending with the surrounding landscape which blurs the boundaries of the site.
Spean Bridge lies on the route through the Great Glen and in the midst of some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery. The village has a shop, train station and primary school, while Fort William, about 10 miles away, has a wider range of facilities. Nearby is the Nevis Range Mountain Resort with its world class mountain bike trails, gondola, snowsports and climbing, while there is excellent sailing in the area both on the Caledonian Canal and on the open sea. The unspoilt countryside provides a habitat for rare species of wildlife and there are delightful countryside walks direct from the cottage.

Insh Cottage is a charming and characterful property with comfortable, modernised accommodation retaining original features. The current owner purchased the cottage in 2014 and has carried out improvements including the installation of oil fired central heating, re-wiring, new kitchen units, a new water cylinder, upgrading the bathroom and redecoration.
The welcoming family room, kitchen and conservatory are semi-open plan creating a wonderful space for modern day living, the conservatory filling the house with natural light and the benefits of solar gain. Off the family room is the delightful sitting room with its curved wall, exposed stone wall and sliding doors to the garden. A bedroom, bathroom and WC complete the accommodation on the ground floor, while on the first floor there are three bedrooms.

Insulation work has been carried out on the first floor and there has been a delay reinstating the timber finishes and completing the redecoration in bedroom 4. This work will be done prior to the date of entry.
