Taigh na Coille is set in the scattered hamlet of Abriachan in Inverness-shire. The house lies in a stunning setting, with beautiful views across the glen. This region of Inverness-shire is famous for its association with Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle and is a well known tourist destination. However, just a short distance away from the popular centres, the beautiful countryside remains unspoilt and tranquil providing a haven for wildlife and excellent rural sporting opportunities. Inverness has all the facilities of a modern city including its airport with regular flights to the south and parts of Europe.
Taigh na Coille was built by the current owners in 2002 to create an extremely well appointed family home with stunning views to the mountains of the west and north. The property has bright, spacious and welcoming accommodation. The sitting room has a wood burning stove and sliding doors to the patio area and doors to the sun room. The spacious dining kitchen has ample cupboard space along with an electric 4 oven AGA, with an open archway to the dining room. The master bedroom is of a good size with fitted wardrobes and a well appointed en suite shower room. There are three additional bedrooms and a family bathroom. The land at Taigh na Coille extends to some 12.25 (4.96 ha) with some 10 acres of forestry, of which it is estimated 9 acres being Sitka Spruce, the balance being primarily native woodland.
Planning in principle has just been granted on this elevated site for a 1/1½ storey property, planning Reference No: 19/01528/PIP. The site extends to 1.6 acres (0.6 Ha). Offers for this lot alone will not be considered until lot 1 has sold.
The desirable block of forestry extends to 46.4 acres (18.78 ha) in all, with it is estimated some 8 acres of Sitka Spruce, the balance being an attractive mix of native woodland, planted to allow open spaces. The woodland is a haven for a huge variety of wildlife and birds and a number of red, roe and sika deer which can provide some enjoyable stalking. The forestry also provides a lifetime of firewood. Offers for this lot alone will not be considered until lot 1 has sold.
