Achadh Nan Carn lies in the heart of the Black Isle, a small peninsula lying just north of Inverness. The property, which was built in 1991 by the current owners, has panoramic views over rolling farmland to the Cromarty Firth, Ben Wyvis and Easter Ross.
The nearby village of Culbokie has a shop and post office, while Inverness, just a twenty minute drive away, has all the facilities of a modern city including its airport with regular flights to the south and Europe. Primary schooling is available at Resolis Primary and secondary schooling at the highly regarded Fortrose Academy. A school bus service is available from outside the property.
The unspoilt countryside of the Highlands provides a haven for many rare and protected species of wildlife, as well as a wide range of rural leisure and sporting opportunities from way-marked tracks and cycle trails on the Black Isle, to skiing and adventure sports in the Cairngorms National Park. Achadh Nan Carn lies close to managed woodland providing extensive and beautiful walks and bridle paths direct from the house.
Built in 1991 by the current owners, Achadh Nan Carn has bright and spacious family accommodation finished to a high standard. The bungalow has been upgraded and well maintained over the years with the addition of a double garage, car port and 2 loose boxes in 1998, while more recent improvements include a new fitted kitchen and bathroom. The roof has been constructed to allow for a loft conversion, subject to the necessary consents.
