Glen Albyn Lodge is situated in the Great Glen on the outskirts of Invergarry village, between Fort William and Fort Augustus and is surrounded by breath- taking scenery. The house is ideally positioned to run a tourist business whilst providing an excellent quality of life for the owners.
Invergarry lies on the main route through the Great Glen and on the road to the west coast and Isle of Skye. Away from many of the popular tourist attractions, this area remains one of the last true wildernesses providing a habitat for many rare species of native wildlife and dramatic mountain ranges. It also has a village shop, petrol station, post office, hotel, churches and primary school while further shops and facilities including secondary education are available in Fort Augustus, about 7 miles away. Inverness is about an hours wonderful drive away along the side of Loch Ness. It has all the facilities of a modern city including its airport with regular flights to the south and Europe.
Glen Albyn Lodge is a Victorian styled home, built in 2006 to excellent modern specifications, embracing the latest energy efficient systems including underfloor heating throughout, a thermal heat store, full insulation, double glazing and a highly energy efficient oil fired boiler.
The property has been a successful B&B for over 10 years, let through the owners website http://www.glenalbynlodge.co.uk/ from Easter until October with high occupancy levels and many repeat guests. The house offers an excellent standard of letting accommodation with a separate living area for the guests and the added benefit of two hot tubs within the sheltered courtyard garden.
Glen Albyn Lodge is an ideal base from which to enjoy the Highlands most popular tourist destinations with easy access to Loch Ness, Ben Nevis, Skye and the west coast. With visitors to the area throughout the year the potential exists to expand the business by offering an extra bedroom to let and extending the booking season. There is a further option to convert the garage to owners or letting accommodation (subject to the necessary consents), thereby increasing the numbers that can be accommodated.
