No 7 Second Coast lies in a spectacular setting close to the village of Laide on the west coast of Scotland. The house is on an elevated site with stunning views to the sandy beach at Gruinard Bay and to Gruinard Island, the distant Summer Isles and spectacular mountain ranges which include Ben Mor Coigach and the Assynt Hills.

The west coast of Scotland is known for its mild climate and stunning coastline with sheltered sandy beaches and island views. The coast is famous for its sailing, while inland mountains and moorlands offer spectacular scenery, hill walking, climbing and trout fishing on the hill lochs. No 7 Second Coast is in the heart of this landscape with easy access to the very best it has to offer. There is a rocky beach a short distance from the house, beautiful walks within easy reach, and the sandy beach on Gruinard Bay just two miles away.

Laide, two miles away, has a Post Office which sells groceries and general goods as well as road fuel (fuel 24hrs a day) and the nearby village of Aultbea lies on the west shore of Loch Ewe and has a village shop, post office, doctor’s surgery and garage. The renowned Mellon Udrigle beach and headlands are also just five miles away. There is a primary school at Bualnaluib, one mile from Aultbea, with secondary schooling available in Gairloch, about 18 miles away. Further shops and amenities are available in Gairloch, Ullapool and Dingwall, while Inverness has all the facilities of a major city, with rail and bus stations and airport with regular flights to the south and Europe.

The build of the house was completed in 2005 to the seller’s own design, taking advantage of the views and wherever possible using natural materials to reflect the surrounding landscape. There is well appointed family accommodation with bedrooms and bathrooms on both floors, while the open plan sitting room and kitchen is the focal point of the house with its impressive open fireplace with wood burning stove and wonderful coastal views. From here double doors open to the triple aspect sun room with double height ceiling and doors to the garden.
