The Old Smithy
The Old Smithy is in a stunning riverside setting in the Highland village of Invermoriston in Inverness-shire. Perched above the River Moriston, the cottages have dramatic views over the river and the B listed bridge that lies on the southern boundary marks the route of the old road that once passed through the village.
The Old Smithy was extended and converted in 2009 and is a charming and characterful property, currently a successful holiday let. The main living accommodation is the striking open plan sitting room, dining room and kitchen with its double height ceiling, exposed stone walls and tiled floor with underfloor heating. To the rear, the extension with its living roof blends well with the original building and includes a garden room with two glass walls and decked balcony with spectacular views over the river. There is a spacious bedroom, shower room and boiler room here and above the sitting room is a mezzanine bedroom.
The delightful wooded grounds at The Old Smithy go down to the banks of the River Moriston which has a decked sitting areas with spectacular views.
