Meikle Kildrummie is a gracious, B listed 17th Century house close to Nairn on the Moray Coast. Nairn has long been a popular destination for tourists, attracted by its mild climate and long sandy beaches. The town has a good range of shops and amenities, including a railway station, and excellent leisure facilities with 2 championship golf courses, a marina and tennis courts. Primary and secondary schooling are available in Nairn and Gordonstoun Independent School is about 28 miles away. Inverness has all the facilities of a modern city including its airport with regular flights to the south and Europe.

Meikle Kildrummie was built in c.1675 as the Dower House for the Kilravock estate, however, there is evidence of a dwelling here from an earlier period and the site is recognised as being of historical significance in the area.

Meikle Kildrummie is in a beautiful south facing setting and adjacent to an SSSI and is surrounded by arable farmland and with distant views to the Black Isle and Ben Wyvis. The 19th Century cottage extension is incorporated into the main house, but offers the potential to provide self-contained residential or holiday letting accommodation.

NOTES
Purchasers should be aware that proposals are in place for upgrading the A96 between Inverness and Nairn. More information on this is available via:
https://www.transport.gov.scot/media/7332/inverness-to-nairn-including-nairn-bypass-trunking-and-detrunking-order-201.pdf
As part of the A96 development the minor road past Meikle Kildrummie will be stopped near the railway, cutting out present passing traffic. Meikle Kildrummie will then be in a cul-de-sac.
